SFWS Internships

The SFWS encourages students to complete internships as part of their academic development. Internships provide students with real-world learning opportunities that help them to apply their knowledge, shape their career objectives, develop jobs skills, and earn tangible work experience. All of these benefits contribute to building a student’s confidence and becoming more competitive in the job market after graduation.

To learn about opportunities within forestry, wildlife sciences, or natural resource-based organizations, plan to attend the SFWS Career Fair, or visit the Auburn University Hand Shake career development site for a complete list of opportunities. Internships which offer student credit hours are also available within the school for those who are earning a natural resources minor with a major in communications, marketing or journalism.
