Degrees:
B.A., Wittenberg University, 2005, Biology
M.S., Central Michigan University, 2012, Conservation Biology
Ph.D., Purdue University, 2015, Wildlife Genetics
Expertise:
Willoughby is an expert in the areas of molecular ecology and evolution, conservation genetics and genomics.
Teaching Responsibilities: Wildlife conservation history and law.
Research Interests: Broadly, Willoughby is interested in how wild populations evolve, and in particular how populations evolve in response to changes in their environment. Her research relies heavily on next-generation sequencing data coupled with computationally intensive analyses of these data, characterization of various genetic markers and pedigrees, and agent-based models.
