student ambassador group volunteers to serve at SFWS events

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering within the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences is an excellent way for students to develop new friendships, enhance their leadership skills, build their resumes, and network with future employers and industry professionals.

In addition to the many volunteer opportunities available with SFWS student clubs and organizations, students may enjoy becoming involved in helping to lead community programs and nature hikes at the SFWS Kreher Preserve and Nature Center (KPNC) or to assist the SFWS with communications, marketing and events.

Whatever they choose, a student’s volunteer experience can both enrich their lives and demonstrate to a potential employer how they are able to effectively communicate, organize, collaborate, or show they have hands-on experience leading natural resource-based educational programs and events.
